“This was a fascinating day out. In the morning we walked outside through the extensive grounds and gardens then in the heat of the day retreated indoors to tour the palace. Take the train ticket option instead as there are excellent audio guides for hire at the venue. Downside was the disgusting toilet facilities in the entrance area. Both the gents and ladies were totally unacceptable.”
